How it works — example

For a wall space of 80 × 120 cm (31.5 × 47.2 inches), poster sizes up to 24×36 inches (61 × 91.4 cm) fit in portrait orientation. A 16×24 inch (40.6 × 61 cm) poster would cover roughly 50% of the wall width — ideal for above a desk or bedside table. A 24×36 inch poster would cover 76% of the width, which suits a feature wall. Both orientations (portrait and landscape) are checked automatically.

How do I choose the right poster size for my wall?

What size frame do I need for my poster?
Your frame should match the exact dimensions of your poster. If you want a mat (also called a mount or passepartout), buy a frame one size larger and add a mat board — the Fine Art Trade Guild recommends a minimum mat border of 5 cm (2 inches). For example, an 8×12 inch print can go in an 11×14 inch frame with a mat, or directly in an 8×12 inch frame without one.
How do I convert poster sizes from inches to centimetres?
Multiply the measurement in inches by 2.54 to get centimetres (this conversion factor is defined by the international yard and pound agreement of 1959). For example, 24 inches × 2.54 = 60.96 cm.
