MEET MEERA
Born in Northwest London to a Gujarati family, I grew up between two cultures: the vibrant colours and drama of Bollywood on one side, the understated cool of the West on the other. Though my family migrated to Australia in the late 80s, I spent school holidays with my grandparents in London.
I moved back to the UK in my mid-twenties to work in marketing and advertising. It was there, walking past the tube stations, landmarks, and the everyday poetry of the capital that the idea first took root. To create a desi remix of my western daily life, while embracing my Indian heritage.
Every print is a love letter to two cultures dear to my heart — the bold typography and cinematic drama of vintage Bollywood meets the grit and charm of British landmarks.
If you are a first or second generation Indian living in the UK, I hope its playfulness and touch of nostalgia, makes you smile.
