Common questions about Staff Pose
What does Dandasana mean?
Dandasana comes from danda (staff or stick) and asana (pose) — the Staff Pose, the upright seated foundation for every other seated pose.
What is Staff Pose for?
It's the seated equivalent of Mountain Pose — the alignment base for forward folds, twists and seated poses, and a quiet core and posture builder in its own right.
Why is Staff Pose harder than it looks?
Sitting tall with straight, engaged legs asks for core strength and hamstring length. If you round backward, sit up on a blanket until it's comfortable.
What sizes does the Staff Pose print come in?
Three sizes: 8×12" (£19.99), 16×24" (£25.99) and 24×36" (£39.99). Every print ships unframed. Free UK shipping over £60.
